Probationary Period

Once you have been cleared to join us at Chepstow Rifle Club, the first 6 months of your membership with be a probationary period; where you hopefully become familiar with the club rules, constitution and the law as it relates to firearms
As a probationary member you are welcome to use any of the clubs’ firearms and accessories for as long as you wish - we will aim to provide ongoing training and assessment of your safety and competency when handling firearms, throughout the probation period and beyond; so that you can enjoy the sport of target shooting.
Throughout the year, we will run various Induction and Training Sessions aligned with the NRA’s Safe Shooter Certification (SCC); - please take advantage of these sessions alongside normal club attendance.

The club will then either offer full membership, choose to extend the probationary period, or refuse membership if the probationary member has not met the requirements/expectations of the probationary period.
